Keep Australia Beautiful Victoria judging of the Churchill ‘Kitchen to Compost’ TrialMonday 11 July 2011 at Latrobe City corporate headquarters, Morwell from 2pm
By Latrobe City - 11th July 2011 - Back to News Latrobe City Council and the Gippsland Regional Waste Management Group entered the ‘Kitchen to Compost’ trial which was a six-month food collection trial aimed to divert food waste from landfill which has been running in Churchill since February 2011. The trial aims to recover and compost food waste for the production of a useful resource.
The KABV judging is an opportunity to highlight how this innovative trial has contributed to the enhancement of the local environment.
Interview and photo opportunities will be available with the KABV Judge and representatives from Council and the Gippsland Regional Waste Management Group.
