By Baw Baw Shire Council - 4th June 2004 - Back to News

Guidelines and application forms are now available for grants of up to $3,000 for local grants and up to $30,000 for partnership grants. Application forms can be collected from any Baw Baw Shire customer service centre.

The Active Participation Grant is encouraging and supporting community organisations to start thinking of projects that focus on increasing levels of participation in physical activity in their community, at a local level.

Local Grants are for small-scale projects with a focus on getting the identified population group involved in regular physical activity for a healthier community.

Partnership Grants projects should concentrate on bring together partners to plan, implement and sustain successful outcomes for a long-term project, having a broader focus than Local Grants.

Grants will only be allocated for projects taking part in 2005.

For information contact Baw Baw shire customer service centers at Drouin, Trafalgar, Civic Place and Smith St in Warragul, or from VicHealth’s website www.vichealth.vic.gov.au. Applications close on July 16 2004.
