Second platform at the Morwell Railway Station underway
Morwell station to add another platform to give commuters better train service.
Local MP Darren Chester said the second platform at Morwell Railway Station was well underway with significant progress on the main structure. "Along with work to construct the new platform, there are significant upgrades to the precinct including an upgraded pedestrian underpass are underway," Mr Chester said.
The second platform at the Morwell Railway Station is part of the Gippsland Line Upgrade that will ensure more train services for the community
"The upgrade is part of the Gippsland Line Upgrade which will see more train services, along with improved accessibility, safety and facilities for travellers. While Minister for Infrastructure, I secured $447 million for this package of works which includes projects like the Avon River bridge replacement in Stratford and the current Traralgon station." Mr Chester said.
