2018 Youth Grants now availableMember for Morwell Russell Northe is encouraging local Councils, Community Groups and Schools to apply for two youth grants that are now available. By Portal Admin - 2nd November 2017 - Back to News The Engage! 2018-20 Program – Offers potential funding of between $90,000 to $150,000 to work with young people to develop and deliver activities that engage diversity of young people in their local community.
"This grant is available to local Councils and community organisations in providing the opportunity to engage youth, to actively participate in a range of activities within their local community," Mr Northe said.
The Engage! Program aims to fund organisations that support young Victorians aged 12-25 years of age (especially diverse groups of young people) to:
Have a greater connection to and active participation in their local community; and/or
Build their skills and knowledge, and pathways to employment, training and education; and/or
Improve their health and wellbeing and social connections to friends, family and the community.
Applications for the Engage! 2018-20 program close at 5pm on Friday November 10 2017 and further details on this program can be found at the link below:

The 2018 Victorian Youth Week – provides grants of up to $2000 for local Councils, community organisations and schools to support events and activities during the first 2018 Victorian Youth Week.
Next year sees the first year of the Victorian Youth Week celebration, which will run from Friday 13 April to Sunday 22 April 2018.
"Victorian Youth Week aims to recognise those young people and give them the opportunity to organise events to celebrate with their peers and take pride in their achievements," said Mr Northe
"I encourage all community organisations working with young people across the electorate to apply for the 2018 Victorian Youth Week grant"
