Nominate Now For Bass Coast Achievements

Nominations for the Regional Achievement and Community Awards close on Friday, 28 July 2006.

Don’t miss out on your opportunity to say thanks to those individuals and groups that work tirelessly for our community, often without encouragement or recognition.

Bass Coast Mayor, Cr Neville Goodwin, encouraged the community to get behind the awards.

"These Awards will not only acknowledge their contributions, but the nominees will be seen as role models that inspire and motivate others in the community to achieve great things.

"I hope to see many nominees from our region represented," said Cr Goodwin.

There are 8 categories open for nomination including the:

• Australia Post Business Achievement Award
• Australia Post Events and Tourism Award
• Parks Victoria Regional Achiever Award
• Parks Victoria Environment and Sustainability Award
• Department for Victorian Communities Volunteering Award
• Department for Victorian Communities Young People’s Participation Award
• Kleenheat Gas Community of the Year Award – Population under 5,000
• Kleenheat Gas Community of the Year Award – Population over 5,000

Great prizes are up for grabs including television exposure on Prime Televison and $2,000 AwardSaver Accounts from the Commonwealth Bank (conditions apply).

Nomination forms are available from Council, Commonwealth Bank branches, Kleenheat Gas houses and dealers, Parks Victoria, Australia Post, The Department for Victorian Communities, Prime Television or through coupons in The Weekly Times.
