Building the Best School Facilities for WarragulBright and modern facilities with the opening of GLA building at St. Paul's Anglican Grammar School. By Portal Admin - 11th April 2019 - Back to News More Warragul students are getting the bright, modern and fit for purpose facilities they deserve thanks to the Andrews Labor Government, with the opening of the GLA building at St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School.
Member for Eastern Victoria Region, Harriet Shing, today opened the new building at St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School.
The Labor Government has contributed $1.9 million to the $3.9 million project through the Non-Government School Grants Program.
It forms part of the Government’s $120 million investment to build and upgrade Catholic and independent schools across the state.
The Government has worked closely with the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria and Independent Schools Victoria to ensure funding has been targeted to the areas of highest need.
Non-government schools are an important part of Victoria's education system, with over one-third of Victorian students studying at Catholic or independent schools.
The Labor Government is building the Education State so that every student can access a great local school and education, and has invested more than $3.8 billion to improve classrooms, upgrade facilities and build new schools across the state.
Under the Labor Government’s school building boom, a total of 100 new schools will open over the next eight years, ensuring every child has a great local school and a great start in life.
This building boom will continue over the coming years, with the Government having appointed builders to start delivering 11 schools across the state that will open in 2020.
