Touring The Arts In Bass CoastSeeing artists and their art from across the Bass Coast Shire has been made easier with the release of the fifth edition of the Arts Tour Brochure. By Bass Coast Shire Council - 8th August 2005 - Back to News Bass Coast Shire Mayor, Cr Neville Goodwin, recently applauded the work and the high standard of local artists featured in the Brochure.
"It’s breathtaking to see the diverse ideas that these artists have brought to our municipality.
"The Arts Tour Brochure is very popular with visitors and locals keen to enjoy the talents of Bass Coast artists. It becomes more and more popular each year," he said.
This year there are 24 artists being featured, as well as major landmarks and historical tours.
The Arts Tour Brochure was launched at the Westernport Hotel in San Remo, with seventy people enjoying the night.
The Arts Tour Brochure is unique in Gippsland and is compiled by the Bass Coast Arts and Cultural Forum with support from the Bass Coast Shire Council. Copies of the Arts Tour Brochure are available from all Bass Coast Shire Council Customer Service Centres and from all Visitor Information Centres.
