Menopause The Musical: A Great Night OutThe number one girls’ night out is returning to Latrobe City on Thursday 18 November. By Latrobe City - 18th November 2010 - Back to News Menopause the Musical is a 90 minute, one act laugh-a-thon that guarantees the audience leave the theatre uplifted and joyous.
Latrobe City’s coordinator performing arts and venues, Kathleen Roberts, explained that the New York Times wrote it was "impossible not to laugh" throughout the production.
"The show is set in a department store, where four women with seemingly nothing in common but a black lace bra meet by chance at a lingerie sale. They quickly bond and make fun of their woeful hot flushes, forgetfulness, mood swings, wrinkles, night sweats and chocolate binges, which creates a sisterhood between the diverse women.
"The performance has undergone a facelift too, so for anybody that has already enjoyed the show, they will have never seen it like this. There are new songs, more choreography and a refreshed look at ‘The Change’," Ms Roberts said.
Menopause the Musical will show at 8pm at the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre, with refreshments available from the Latrobe Performing Arts bar from 7pm. Booking can be made by phoning the Latrobe Performing Arts Box Office on 5176 3559.
The production will also be shown at the Esso BHP Billiton Wellington Entertainment Centre, Sale on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 November.
