Pools To Remain OpenBairnsdale & Orbost outdoor swimming pools will remain open during the first term school holidays. By East Gippsland Shire Council - 9th March 2006 - Back to News East Gippsland Shire Council has announced that arranged with the YMCA to keep the outdoor swimming pools in Bairsndale and Orbost open throughout the end of first term school holidays.
The YMCA manages both pools for the shire.
Group manager community Kate Nelson said the pools would be open between 2.00 pm and 6.00 pm on days where the temperature is 23 degrees and above.
"We are pleased to have made this arrangement and hope it helps our kids to have and an even more enjoyable break," Ms Nelson said.
