Kraft grow online

In a show of promotional wizardry, Kraft make more than cheese

By Emma Kae - 3rd May 2001 - Back to News

The more companies grow aware of using Internet as a potential promotional goldmine, the more consumers are interacting with the brand in a way television advertisements can only dream of.

Designs are limited only by the marketer’s vivid imagination, with a seeming theme of “the higher the interest the bigger the profit”.

Many brands we know and love have already taken steps to test the promotional capabilities of their sites, from Lee Jeans to Nestle offering everything from online catalogues to virtual e-postcards.

Kraft Foods have become the latest to join the club of promoters searching for a method of reaching the consumer through a unique online experience upon the release of the new website.

The site features as a kids room for the young at heart with online puzzles and games and a virtual museum tour that teaches the cheese making process.

There is historical information on how Australian food styles have changed over time, as well as product facts and a complete listing of the entire Kraft range.

Visit the Kraft Kitchen, an online resource designed to help you cook, with a database of over 700 meal ideas! There is also a collection of updated recipes, hot tips and handy hints, a what’s new area, and a quick search function.

Very educational – even for the big people – and a lot of fun to discover, the Kraft website is a promo winner that all happy little Vegemites will surely love. See the site by clicking here.
