Mega Sale to celebrate opening of PoolMoe Newborough Sports Centre holding Mega Sale this Wednesday. By Latrobe City Council - 23rd March 2001 - Back to News The Moe Newborough Sports Centre will be holding a Mega Sale at its Open-day this Wednesday in celebration of the opening of its new pool.
Moe Newborough Sports Centre Manager, Mark Brady, said customers would be able to get up to 50% off all memberships and swimwear throughout the day while three month memberships will be available for the cost of one month memberships.
“The day is all about encouraging people to come and have a look at the Centre. We know they’ll like what they see and we hope they take advantage of the tremendous specials available,” Mr Brady said.
“The promotions will start when the Centre opens its door at 6am with a free breakfast and will go right through the day. Radio stations 3GG and 3TR will be there so people should tune in for full details on the day.
“Two of the highlights of the day will be the basketball and football clinics. Arguably Australia’s best basketball coach, Brian Goorjian of the Victoria Titans, will be there at 4pm with the Latrobe City Pacers. Then at 5pm two of the AFL’s up and coming stars Troy Simmons and Anthony McDonald of the Melbourne Demons will conduct a football clinic.
“All the activities are free, breakfast is free, the Lions Club sausage sizzle in the afternoon is free, there’ll be free give-aways, it’s all free,” Mr Brady said.
“We just want to share this new pool with everyone as we’re proud of this great new facility.” He added.
