Sharyn Blakemore Makes Her Mark In Volleyball ProgramAn update from the Edison Mission Energy Gippsland Academy of Sport By Andrew Pomeroy - 16th July 2002 - Back to News Gippsland Academy of Sport Volleyball Head Coach Dan Higgins has announced some exciting news about his squads. Sharyn Blakemore is in her 2nd season with the Academy and has been selected in the Victorian Under 16 Schoolgirls team. Sharyn has also been selected to attend a National Youth team camp after National team coaches met with Higgins as they are on the lookout for talented athletes.
Higgins said ‘ Sharyn has been identified as a potential setter and at 176 cm has some of the attributes to make it to the next level’.
