Leaders Of Tomorrow Follow Their DreamsMay forum encourages kids to do their best By Emma Kae - 28th May 2002 - Back to News Assuming the old saying "the children of today are the leaders of tomorrow" is true, our future is looking very bright.
A group of eight year 12 students from Bairnsdale Secondary and Nagle Collage (hoping to encourage great work from the VCE students of 2003) have organised a day of motivating, inspirational lectures from ex-locals that have gone on to do their best and make it big in their own way.
The forum will feature speeches from Gold Medal Para Olympian Tim Matthews, future starlet Angie-lee Solomon, Workways training co-ordinatorJo Allen and the man that defied his meagre one per cent chance of survival, Jamie Robinson. Darren McCubbin has been cast as MC, while Mayor Peter Bommer will officially open the forum.
Its great to see the year 12 students (Mandy Davidson, Sarah Young, Cassie Anderson, Charity Bowen, Danni Sheilds, Nicola Williams, Callie Young and Michelle Anderson) paving the way for the students that will be taking their place as the leaders of the school.
