Ms Needham, who teaches in the Business Studies Department at GippsTAFE, completed a Diploma of Education and Training in 2001, receiving honours in all subjects.
Ms Needham’s results were recognised by the Faculty of Education at the University, adding her name to the Dean’s Honour List for 2001.
The Dean’s Honour List Award is granted to those students who were placed in the top 1-2% of student’s in a relevant course of study and was presented with the award by Professor Brian J. Caldwell, Dean of the Faculty of Education.
Ms Needham’s other achievements include completing a subject over the summer of 2000 as a lone student, receiving first class honours for her efforts.
Ms Needham also received the highest score for her final subject "Learning and Thinking," also with first class honours.
Ms Needham now plans to have a break from study this year and enjoy spending time with her family, but hopes to undertake a Batchelor of Education and Training in 2003.
