Council’s Planning and Environment Director, Hannah Duncan-Jones, said Council made the decision to approve the application at its Council Meeting on Wednesday night. "Councillors had concerns about the effect the Bunnings business could have on traffic in the area," said Ms Duncan-Jones. "They approved the application after Bunnings agreed to contribute $125,000 to traffic signals being installed at the "With contribution from other developments and a funding application to VicRoads, we hope this work will be completed in the 2012/13 financial year," continued Ms Duncan-Jones. Council was supportive of the application overall which is described as a ‘baby Bunnings’. Council deferred a decision at its February Council Meeting to allow more time to investigate traffic options in the area.
