The standards were tabled by a Monash research team. The draft standards were drawn up with the help of focus group meetings which comprised primary and secondary schools, early-career teachers, mid-career teachers and experienced teachers from both private and government systems. This is an important step for teachers of history who now have a set of professional expectations.
Ms Jenny Jelbart is the newly appointed Deputy CEO at the Australian Sustainable Industry Research Centre (ASIRC) located at the Gippsland Campus. Jenny, a Monash University Graduate with 15 years experience within Gippsland Water, brings a combination of academic and practical know how in a range of disciplines into a research based organisation. ASIRC operates a large analytical laboratory that assists industry solve problems and improve sustainability.
