Inverloch Visitor Information Centre On The MoveThe Inverloch Visitor Information Centre will move to 3a A’Beckett Street on Monday 3 December, in time for the summer holidays. By Bass Coast Shire Council - 26th November 2007 - Back to News Bass Coast Shire Council’s Visitor Services Coordinator, Teresa Wilson, said staff and volunteers were looking forward to the move.
"The new location is better equipped to provide visitors with all the information and services they need," said Ms Wilson.
"It also provides easy access for all, which I’m sure our visitors will appreciate.
"We will be closed on Monday during the move, but will reopen for business on Tuesday at the new location."
The Inverloch Visitor Information Centre is part of the Bass Coast Visitor Information Centre network.
"The Centre is predominantly run by volunteers with support from Council staff," explained Ms Wilson.
"Our team do a great job providing a warm welcome to over 20,000 visitors every year.
"Visitors stop by to pick up maps, find out about events and activities, buy tickets to attractions, book accommodation, or just get advice about the best way to spend their time in and around Inverloch.
"The Centre is open from 9am to 5pm daily," Ms Wilson added.
The Inverloch Centre is also looking for volunteers to join the team.
"We certainly have openings for volunteers who are passionate about our region and want to help others enjoy it," said Ms Wilson.
"Becoming a volunteer would suit anyone who has an interest in the local area, and would like to learn more about it.
"You also need to like meeting and talking to people, and enjoy working in a team environment."
Visitor Information Centre volunteers need to be able to commit to a regular four-hour shift per week. If you are interested in finding out more, please contact Teresa Wilson on 1300 762 433 or email t.wilson@basscoast.vic.gov.au.
