Scott will explain the evolution of his work into a meditation on the relationship between science, nature, culture and queer. Dr Wendy Wright, School of Applied Sciences and Engineering will be one of the guest speakers at 'The Commercial Forestry Connection' workshop jointly sponsored by Madalya Landcare Group, DSE and Yarram Catchments Network to be held on Sunday, October 23. Dr Wright will discuss wildlife corridors while representatives from DSE and Grand Ridge Plantations will advise on Forestry Certification Processes. Making the GradeRhett D’Costa, lecturer in Visual Arts, is participating in a group exhibition entitled ‘Harmony and Counterpoint’ courtesy of Gallery 101, to be held at the Law Courts, Melbourne this month. Rhett was also recently invited to weave a series of small tapestries with the Victorian Tapestry Workshop.
Mr Keith Hamilton is the new Chair of the Gippsland Integrated Natural Resources Forum (GINRF). Keith has a life-long scientific interest and knowledge of water and catchment management issues. Keith served as State Member for 14 years and prior to his political career spent 20 years as a senior lecturer in physics at the Gippsland Institute of Advanced Education, now Monash University Gippsland Campus.
