Improved Aquatic Centre Re-OpensThe Wonthaggi Aquatic and Leisure Centre re-opens on Monday 22 October after extensive renovations. By Bass Coast Shire Council - 23rd October 2001 - Back to News The Wonthaggi Aquatic and Leisure Centre re-opens on Monday 22 October after extensive renovations.
Stage one of the redevelopment has included improvements to the plant, ventilation system and lighting. The change rooms have been refurbished, and a new family change room plus a disabled change room have been built.
The most eye-catching new feature is the new ceiling and skylights that, combined with a new paint job, make the centre brighter and airier.
The Aquamovers class begins again on 24 October and the swimming lessons program begins on 29 October.
