Improved Aquatic Centre Re-Opens

The Wonthaggi Aquatic and Leisure Centre re-opens on Monday 22 October after extensive renovations.

The Wonthaggi Aquatic and Leisure Centre re-opens on Monday 22 October after extensive renovations.

Stage one of the redevelopment has included improvements to the plant, ventilation system and lighting. The change rooms have been refurbished, and a new family change room plus a disabled change room have been built.

The most eye-catching new feature is the new ceiling and skylights that, combined with a new paint job, make the centre brighter and airier.

The Aquamovers class begins again on 24 October and the swimming lessons program begins on 29 October.

Brad Burton, Centre Coordinator, Kelly Wearne, Manager, and Jenny Churchill, Council’s Arts and Leisure Coordinator are looking forward to welcoming swimmers back to the improved Aquatic Centre.
