Gallery Director, Louise Tegart said that Rehgan De Mather’s exhibition ‘Contemporary Leftovers’ employed the discarded and unconsidered. Leftovers, scraps and waste generated from a previous work have become the starting point of a new creation. "Through revision and reworking, development and progression, the different series of works in the exhibition are related to each other by the ideas and subjects. "The graphic works employ a number of techniques including collage, acrylic, enamel spray paint, and charcoal. Incorporating text and found objects, the lively and contemporary works show the artist’s sense of humour about life and the art world," Ms Tegart said.
