Jennifer Burden from the Infertility Treatment Authority (ITA) will give an overview of ‘Assisted Reproductive Technologies’, and talk about the role of the ITA in regulating treatment within Victoria at The School of Applied Sciences & Engineering seminar to be held on Monday, October 10 at 1pm in room 5N148.

"Futures Dilemmas for Marketers - can stakeholder analysis add value?" will be presented by Professor Val Clulow, at the Business & Economics Academic Exchange Program on Tuesday, October 18 at 1pm in the School of Business Conference Room.

Craig Butler from the School of Applied Sciences and Engineering will be attending the International Conference on Coal Science and Technology in Japan from October 9-14 where he will present two papers, ‘Assessment of Water Quality Produced from Mechanical Thermal Expression Processing of Three Latrobe Valley Lignites’ and ‘Brown Coal as a Treatment Medium for Product Water from Coal Dewatering’.

Dr Dushmanta Dutta from the School of Applied Sciences and Engineering will deliver a special lecture on ‘Vulnerability analysis of coastal cities of Asia to sea level rising’ at the Fourth International Symposium in Singapore on October 18-19.

Rhett D’Costa, lecturer in Visual Arts at the Gippsland Campus is participating in a group exhibition entitled ‘Harmony and Counterpoint’ to be held at the Law Courts in Melbourne during October.

• Making the Grade

Twenty students from the Gippsland Campus represented Monash University in the Australian University Games in Brisbane from September 25th-30th. The majority of Gippsland Campus students competed in football, with other representatives in baseball, hockey, mixed netball, soccer and cycling. In total, Monash competed in 24 different sports and finished first in both Taekwondo and Women’s Tennis. Monash finished sixth overall.

Liz Veno has been appointed Research Services Officer with the Gippsland Research Office. Ms. Vino will be liaising closely with Monash Research Office and the Monash Research Graduate School to bring the necessary research support to the Gippsland Campus.
