Waterwater FestivalThe inaugural waterwater festival will take place from November 11th to the 20th with opportunities for artists, organisers, and volunteers to participate. By Wellington Shire Council - 9th August 2005 - Back to News Organised by Gippsland Regional Arts - Sale, the festival aims to create a major regional event, based in Sale, featuring high profile artists and innovative community presentations. It follows on from the successful opening Festival of the Esso BHP Wellington Entertainment centre in 2003 and the Port of Sale opening in November 2004.
waterwater relates to performances about the port precinct but is also an opportunity to highlight issues about water management with talks, panel discussions and displays being planned.
People interested in being part of the organising team or finding out more information about the waterwater festival are invited to a meeting at the Esso BHP Billiton Wellington Entertainment Centre on Wednesday August 17th starting at 7.30pm.
