Brisbane based Contra Guitar Duo presents an exciting program, thrilling audiences with their musically rich and varied programs. 
Contra Guitar Duo, formed by Hamish Strathdee and Emma-Shay Gallenti-Guilfoyle, merges contrasting yet complementary styles to showcase the guitar's expressive versatility Guitar diversity celebrationThe concert is a celebration of the guitar and its diversity and reflects the duo's unique personality and musical inspirations. Having met at their University auditions in 2011, the pair have travelled the world together, sharing their infectious love for the classical guitar. Their Warragul concert features some of the duo's favourite works including, exciting contemporary Australian repertoire, European classical music and a thrilling work from Clarice Assad inspired by the rich traditions of Brazilian folk and classical music.
