‘Language and the Labour Market experiences of Rural-Urban migrants in South Africa: a Cross-Disciplinary study’ is the topic for the School of Business and Economics Exchange Forum presented by Associate Professor Brett Inder, Head of Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics on Tuesday, August 31 from 1pm in the Business and Economics Conference Room. The Gippsland Campus will be involved in International Application Day to be held at the Caulfield Campus on Saturday, September 4. Gippsland Campus may be able to benefit from recent changes to immigration laws which grant additional permanent residency points to those who study at regional campuses such as Gippsland Campus. Making the GradeJacqui Maiden, Gippsland Campus Faculty of Education graduate in 2004, won the Herald Sun Beginning Teacher of the year award last week. Jacqui is currently teaching Grades 3 and 4 at the Open SubjectForty-six Year 10 and 11 students from Lowanna Secondary College Moe will be visiting the Gippsland Campus on Thursday, September 2. The students will be given an overview of what the Gippsland Campus has to offer them, undertake interactive activities in the various Faculties, a tour of the campus and an opportunity to enjoy the current exhibition on display in the Switchback Gallery.
