Ernie Dingo and a television crew from Channel 7’s "Great Outdoors" spent two days in Bass Coast earlier this week. Ernie and the crew spent Monday and Tuesday in and around Inverloch and Wonthaggi.

A highlight of the crew’s visit was taking part in a dinosaur dig at The Caves in the Bunurong Marine Park. They visited the Bunurong Environment Centre, Sea Shed and Beach Box in Inverloch. The filmed the Bunurong Coastal Drive, and visited the Whalebone Hotel in Wonthaggi.

Lori Worthy, Visitor Services Coordinator at Bass Coast Shire Council, organised the visit.

"Ernie and the Great Outdoors team had a fantastic time and were impressed with the area’s spectacular natural beauty," said Lori.

A segment about Inverloch and Wonthaggi will screen on the Great Outdoors later in the year.
