Mondo Trasho Artist Talk To Feature This ThursdayMandy Gunn will give an artist talk to complement her current exhibition ‘Mondo Trasho’ at the Latrobe Regional Gallery at 1.30pm this coming Thursday. By Latrobe Shire Council - 15th June 2007 - Back to News Latrobe Regional Gallery director, Jacqui Hemsley, said the artist talk will give participants an insight into Mandy Gunn’s philosophies and working methods for each piece.
"Mandy Gunn is well known for her use of familiar everyday materials that are recycled into complex, layered and aesthetically compelling works of art in the form of installations, assemblages and sculptures," Ms Hemsley said.
‘Mondo Trasho’ comprises works made over the last six years using a variety of materials and techniques.
The talk costs $5 for the general public, $3 for concession and pension card holders and is free for Friends Members. Tea and coffee will be served in the Friends lounge at 1pm, with the talk commencing at 1:30pm.
The Latrobe Regional Gallery is open 7 days, Monday to Friday 10am – 5pm, Saturday and Sunday 11am – 4pm. Admission is free.
