Are we on the verge of a new media phenomenon in Australia? In part, that is what journalism Lecturer Andrea Baker sought to uncover with the Internet radio research she will be releasing on July 14. Ms. Baker investigated the listening habits of net radio users, a group who go to the Internet in search of alternative music not found on conventional radio. In so doing, she sought to determine whether Australian youth are increasingly using net radio and if so, what impact that may have. Gippsland Campus students were among the 56 students involved in the study.

Dr Gerald Acquaah-Gaisie from the Faculty of Business & Economics, Department of Business Law and Taxation at the Gippsland Campus will be presenting a paper titled "Grand Corruption: A Crime against Humanity" at the Global Business and Technology Association conference in Lisbon on July 12.
