Farming in a Changing ClimateWarragul Conference dates set for May 9 2008 following the overwhelming success of the Lakes Entrance Conference. By Agribusiness Gippsland Inc. - 26th February 2008 - Back to News Agribusiness Gippsland Inc. have set the dates for it's next Farming in a Changing Climate Conference following the incredible success of the Lakes Entrance Conference last week. Bookings exceeded placements at Lakes Entrance, the dinner the previous night had nearly 80 more guests than anticipated and the conference nearly 100 more.
Warragul has been chosen for the next conference and May 9 is the day to mark in your calendars. Bookings are not open yet but already there have been enquiries and it is anticipated that places will fill quickly given its easy access from Melbourne.
Lakes Entrance conference focussed a lot on the debate over whether climate change is a natural phenomena or man induced. There was no debate on if the climate is changing. Warragul will focus more on what to do to keep Gippsland the Food Bowl of Australia in the face of Climate Change.
The quality of the speakers at Lakes Entrance was second to none, Rob Gell as the dinner speaker kept EVERYONE totally engrossed and the question time saw him literally mobbed! Warragul will have an equally impressive speaker list and more time will be allocated to question time so participants are not dissapointed.
