It's a bit like self-care, aimed at improving well-being and happiness, but it's achieved by filling your belly with delectable morsels, namely food and wine. Just north of Sale, Tinamba and Maffra offer exquisite dining options, so exploring the charms of the north is a no-brainer for food lovers. While you can have an indulgent weekend around Sale any time of year, we recommend combining your visit with the annual Tinamba Food & Wine.

Spend the afternoon wandering Sale's heritage streetscapes, then check into your accommodation at Mansi on Raymond. Book the Georgian Bathhouse for generous open living spaces and ensuites for each bedroom. Unwind in the natural mineral bath in your own private courtyard. Head to Tinamba Hotel, the destination restaurant for a refined degustation dinner. While the restaurant is housed in a classic country hotel, the outstanding food is far from your usual pub grub options.
