Victoria's Government pushes e-commerce

The imortance of local e-commerce grows through Government initiative

Until Victoria embraces e-commerce, the state could lose as much as $13 billion in revenue.

With the launch of a $10 million e-commerce initiative, the Government aims to grow Victorian small businesses' e-commerce development. The scheme will enable businesses to access its electronic purchasing arrangements, fund a team of e-commerce advocates to provide hands-on support and fund a database to help businesses locate IT and e-commerce expertise.

With e-commerce revolutionising business in Australia, and the world, it is vital for our local businesses to learn how to develop and clinch opportunities as they arise. Early adoption of e-commerce is vital to the states small businesses, allowing them to compete in a global economy.
