Nordic Day will be taking place at Gippsland Campus on Thursday, April 22. Representatives from various Scandinavian universities will set up in the Knuckle from noon to 2 p.m. to discuss opportunities for researchers and students. A more formal presentation will also take place from 1 – 2 p.m. in Lecture Theatre 2E201.

The Honourable John Brumby MP, Minister for State and Regional Development, Minister for Innovation will formally launch the Australian Sustainable Industry Research Centre Ltd (ASIRC) on Monday, April 26, 2004 at 12:30 p.m. in the School of Business and Economics Conference Room. The launch will also be attended by a range of scientific, industry, environmental and community members.

Professor Betty Weiler, Professor of Tourism, is presenting "Why (and how) would I get involved in the Tourism Research Unit at Monash?" on Tuesday, April 20. The presentation will commence at 1 p.m. in the BusEco Conference Room.

The Faculty of Business and Economics Annual Student Awards and Cocktail Evening is Tuesday 4 May commencing at 6:30 p.m. in the BusEco Conference Room.

• Making the Grade

Monash University Gippsland Campus and the Faculty of Business will be attending the AusIndustry breakfast on 22 April as sponsors of the Federation Health Gippsland Business Awards. The Faculty of Business is providing a full HECS scholarship to a selected Young Achiever Australia (YAA) participant at the awards evening 7 May. The awards are a celebration of innovation and excellence in the region.

Gendarmes de la Flute will perform at the free lunch-time concert at Monash

University Gippsland Campus on Monday 19 April. Starting at 1.10 p.m. in the Hexagon Theatre, the concert features flute staff at the Monash School of Music - Conservatorium. The lunch-time concerts take place four times per semester.
