Dissenting climate change opinions are often dismissed as misinformation. The climate agenda risks energy security, despite evidence from scientists. Throughout my time in the Parliament, I have never wavered in doing the right thing for Australians, even if it means going against the tide. Increasingly, there are multiple issues where if you hold an opposing opinion, or even convey opposing evidence - you are smeared as a dangerous spreader of misinformation. "The climate change agenda allows too much to gain for a few, and too much to lose for many," says Russell Broadbent Climate agenda critiqueLet me put this to you - the climate change agenda allows too much to gain for a few, and too much to lose for many. We are putting our energy security and affordability at stake, so that foreign developers can make a very quick buck. All because 'the science is settled', according to Minister Bowen. Well-regarded scientists suggest otherwise. Professor Ian Plimer says that 97% of carbon emissions are from the natural environment. In other words, if carbon emissions are the cause of apparent climate change, then you would be suggesting that the natural world is bad for itself. Realistically, it is the natural carbon cycle in motion - after all, carbon is the gas of life and without it, nothing would grow, and we would be dead. When so much of what was originally dubbed as 'conspiracy' has now been proven otherwise, Australians should be alarmed when the Government positions itself as the single source of truth.
