A group of Glen Forbes residents are keen to re-develop the old tennis club area as a community recreation reserve and are looking for other people interested in helping out.
The Glen Forbes group and Bass Coast Shire Council will hold a public meeting on Sunday 26 August to discuss plans for the formation of a Recreation Reserve Committee at Glen Forbes.
Everyone is invited to attend the meeting, which will be held at 10am at the Glen Forbes School.
"Interest has been shown by a group of local residents to develop the former tennis club area to provide recreational facilities for residents and visitors," said Jenny Churchill, Council’s Arts and Leisure Coordinator.
"If people are interested, they are encouraged to come to the meeting and talk about how such a project could happen," she said.
