Thinking differently for 2009 dairy innovatorsNext month’s Dairy Innovators’ Forum will bring together dairy farmers from all states of Australia. By Susan Webster - 31st January 2009 - Back to News A new initiative is the introduction of the DAFF Innovators session – two hours of ‘round table’ explorations of seven innovations that have been deemed to have expected significance to the way dairy farmers do business.
Respected dairy scientist professor Jock Macmillan, together with Dairy Australia’s David Nation have coordinated the series of innovations, which include two from New Zealand.
Participants in the DAFF Innovators’ session will showcase their technology working with conference delegates in small, rotating groups.
A highlight of this session will be the inclusion of Chris Russell – the agricultural scientist who sits on the ABC New Inventors judging panel.
Chris will be ‘in the mix’ for the duration of the session and will feature on the Sunday evening speaking program.
The Dairy Innovators’ Forum is hosted by the Australian Dairy Conference group and takes place at Novotel Creswick from February 22-24. Registrations are open and a limited number of positions still exist.
