Bass Coast Young Leaders Workshop with YLab (Foundation for Young)
Announcement: Young Leaders Workshop
What: Day long leadership workshop, exploring Storytelling as a leadership tool.
Workshop for Bass Coast Young Leaders – 24 students from across Bass Coast (two from each school)
11.30-12.30pm Lunch and ‘Mad Minute’ of questions directed to the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and CEO Paul Buckley, by the students
Workshop facilitated by YLab - social enterprise arm of Foundation for Young Australians
When: Tuesday 6 February 10am – 3pm. Ideally, please attend between 11.30am-12.30pm when Mayor/Deputy and CEO are in attendance
Where: Town Hall during the day and Council Chambers over lunch (11.30-12.30pm)
Why: Each year 2 x year 6 students and 2 x year 11 students plus VCAL students are nominated by their respective school to be the Young Leader. As part of the Award, students participate in a Leadership Workshop and a filming which will be aired at the Young Leaders Awards at Inverloch RACV at the end of the month.
How: Students will participate in a day-long workshop, exploring Storytelling skills an how these skills can be utilised every day, an particularly as ‘leaders’.
