Men are from Mars...

...Women are most certainly from Venus

Have you ever heard that old saying about how Men are from Mars, and Women are from Venus? This theory illustrates that beauty of a relationship is not born simply through our connections, but also our differences. Or rather, working through them and accepting what we cannot change.

In my weary online travels this week I encountered a perfect example of the gap between the male and female worlds. The page is entitled “Things my girlfriend and I have argued about”. What follows is a comprehensive list of important issues that arise in relationships. Like leaving the toilet seat down.

“Nothing keeps a relationship on its toes so much as lively debate. Fortunate, then, that my girlfriend and I agree on absolutely nothing. At all.” The story opens with a tale of the kiwi fruit, and the pressing dilemma of how it should be cut – sideways or across the middle. What a problem!

“I eat two-fingered Kit-Kats like I'd eat any other chocolate bars of that size, i.e, without feeling the need to snap them into two individual fingers first. Margret accused me of doing this, 'deliberately to annoy her'.”
