Maternal and child health service opens in Mid ValleyNew location for maternal and child health service By Portal Admin - 4th March 2018 - Back to News Latrobe City Council has moved its Morwell Maternal and Child Health service from Vincent Road to a new location at Mid Valley Shopping Centre offering the full suite of advice, support and referral services.
Latrobe City Council’s mayor, Councillor Darrell White, said it made sense to offer the service at a location where parents often spent time.
"We know parenting takes a toll on your time and that you’re often trying to fit in all the appointments and tasks that you have to do on any given day. Locating the Maternal and Child Health service where parents are already doing their shopping or accessing other medical services means less time travelling and worrying about how you can get from one place to another.
"The Mid Valley service will deliver all the usual range of services from key age and stage development checks for your children, to support for breastfeeding, parenting advice and referral services. It’s in a convenient spot and the centre is well-serviced by public transport.
"We’re looking forward to being able to provide our quality service at a time and location that suits your lifestyle," Cr White said.
