James And The Giant Peach Rolls Into Town James And The Gaint Peach When James Henry Trotter accidentally drops a bag full of magic by the old peach tree, something strange begins to happen… By Latrobe City - 5th April 2012 - Back to News The Latrobe Performing Arts Centre in Traralgon will host a magical stage production of James and the Giant Peach on Thursday 19 April from 6pm.
Latrobe City’s coordinator performing arts and venues, Kathleen Roberts, said that the show was coming to Latrobe City as part of Regional Arts Victoria’s national tour.
"This delightful production is by ‘Playing with Snails’ a new company focused on creating quality children’s theatre. After nearly two years of preparation, this visually dynamic show is sure to delight young and old alike.
"Follow James on his journey on the Giant Peach away from his miserable life with Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker and enjoy his adventures with his companions Old Green Grasshopper, Centipede, Ladybird, Miss Spider and Earthworm," Ms Roberts said.
"Many children and adults alike will be familiar with the Roald Dahl story but to see it brought to life on stage is altogether a different experience," Ms Roberts concluded.
James and the Giant Peach will be performed at the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre in Traralgon on Thursday 19 April from 6pm. Tickets are available from the Box Office on 5176 3559 or in person at the Moe Service Centre, Latrobe Regional Gallery or the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre.
