Women’s Community Leadership Workshop

A second Women’s Community Leadership Workshop will be held on Sunday 16 September in Traralgon.

The workshop is presented by the Gippsland Women’s Local Government Association (GWLGA), as part of a Women’s Community Leadership Grant.

The day will focus on Personal / Professional Strategic Planning in your career and general life direction. Cr Lisa Price of Latrobe City is the guest speaker and Lisa will share her career challenges and highs in juggling community leadership expectations with her own personal career objectives.

The workshop will be held at the Promenade Room at Century Inn on the Princes Hwy Traralgon. The seminar / program cost is $55 for the day, including lunch, refreshments, materials and notes.

The GWLGA is a not-for-profit, non party political association that supports and encourages men and women with their leadership development and potential. The organisation strives to provide encouragement and leadership support to men and women of diverse backgrounds to develop and enhance their leadership potential within industry, community, business or government. The Association aims to provide a sustainable and long-term support function for the people of Gippsland as they pursue their leadership and community participation goals.

Making Networks Work

The Bass Coast Children’s Service Providers Network is hosting a "Making Networks Work" workshop from 7pm on Tuesday 11 September 2007 at Inverloch.

This is a great opportunity for people who work or volunteer with children and families to meet those with similar professions and interests.

The workshop is being held at the Inlet Hotel and is presented by psychologist and coach Terry Guilford.

The workshop topics include:

  • Building networks
  • Effective communication techniques
  • Creating positive changes in your professional and personal lives
  • Understanding how to deal with difficult people and situations
  • Sharing ideas with others
  • Where to go for help and understanding about particular issues and professional dilemmas.

The cost of the workshop is $30, which includes a meal (main course and dessert), plus tea and coffee.

The workshop will be held at the Inlet Hotel, 3-5 The Esplanade, Inverloch. Registration is from 6.30pm and the workshop commences at 7pm sharp.
