Next Meeting
When: Monday 18th April 2005
Time: 7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Salvation Army Hall,
Bridle Road, Morwell.
Neighbourhood Safety Assessment:
Henk Harberts, Manager Community Safety for Latrobe City, will be attending the April meeting, and would like to consult with the Bridle Estate residents regarding their concerns of safety in this area.
Safety Assessments involve local residents police and government getting together to identify safety issues within our neighbourhood. Safety Assessments can help our community to become a safer place, by identifying local concerns, and bringing about appropriate solutions.
Senior Sergeant Ricky Ross will also be attending the April meeting to talk on local issues, anti-social behaviour and the Safety Assessment. Sergeant Ross will answer questions on these issues and other police matters.
All residents are encouraged to attend this important meeting. Take this opportunity to discuss issues which concern you.
Zone Leaders:
Three of our Zone Leaders have moved from the area and we now need three people to replace them. Therefore we are calling on anybody who would like to assist in the running of our Neighbourhood Watch Area. The zone leader’s duties consist of distributing the newsletter in the zone they represent, being a contact person for residents of that zone and attending the monthly meeting if possible. A Neighbourhood Watch Area cannot function without sufficient Zone Leaders.
The zones that require zone leaders are:
Zones 33 & 35, which is the entire length of Spring Court.
Zone 13, consists of the East side of the Boulevard between The Avenue and Chestnut Ave. South side of The Avenue to the laneway, the North side of Wattle Tree Cres from the laneway to Chestnut Ave.
Zones 20 & 21, covers both sides of Wyung Dr. and Lang Crt. From Dargo Cres. The West side of Bridle Rd. between Wyung and Dargo, and North side of Dargo Cres.
We take this opportunity to thank the departing Zone Leaders for donating their time and effort to our Neighbourhood Watch Area.
Residents are reminded to report all incidents to the Police, no matter how trivial they may seem, by dialling 000 (triple zero). This includes bad behaviour in public places as well as vandalism and damage to public and private property.
