Wonthaggi is powering up
Major reconstruction funding for Wonthaggi Power Football Netball Club facilities
Bass Coast Shire Council has funded a major reconstruction of the Wonthaggi Power Football Netball Club facilities.
Local contractors, TS Constructions, will manage the project, which will include new change rooms, kitchen, toilets and social rooms.
The $380K project is part of Bass Coast Shire Council’s 2017/2018 Renewal Program.
Council recognises the valuable in-kind contribution the Club has committed to the project including building design and general labour works.
Bass Coast Mayor, Cr Pamela Rothfield, commended the Club on their efforts.
"The Club’s generous contribution has played a large part in assisting Council to ensure the project delivers a fantastic outcome for its members and the wider community," she said.
The project will be completed ahead of the Club’s first home game in 2018.
