Exeloo On The Move

The Exeloo toilet at 70 Chapel Street will soon be moved to the corner of Thompson Avenue and Chapel Street in Cowes.

By Bass Coast - 6th May 2011 - Back to News

Bass Coast Shire Council’s Acting Infrastructure Projects Manager, Derek Peters, said the toilet would not be able to be used for two to three weeks while the works were taking place.

"Council has decided to sell the land at 70 Chapel Street, meaning the toilet needs to be moved," said Mr Peters.

"While this toilet is out of order, the closest available toilets are at the Cowes Cultural Centre, followed by the Esplanade toilet block.

"We expect to start works on 16 May, depending on weather, and be completed within three weeks.

"Works will include relocating the underground services and preparing the new site.

"There will obviously be some disruption to pedestrians, patrons and traders in the area but we will keep these to a minimum," continued Mr Peters.
