The second round of the Pacers Bendigo Bank challenge was played in front of big crowd at the Traralgon Sports Stadium on Saturday night before the Pacers Big V Championship game.

The Bendigo Bank Challange is being held between the 12 & Under Latrobe Valley teams of Morwell, Moe and Traralgon and is a way to encourage participation at the elite level.

Latrobe City Pacers President, Mr David Roberts said that many of these players can and will be future Pacers Players and some may even go on to higher levels such as the NBL or even on scholarships to the USA.

On Saturday night, Traralgon T-Birds played Morwell Magic in a thriller. At half-time Traralgon led Morwell by only one point with the T-Birds eventually winning 29 points to 23.

With the final game in the Boys being played this Saturday night between Moe and Traralgon, the competition is well and truly alive. Both Traralgon and Morwell have 1 win, and if Moe can get a win this week over Traralgon all teams will finish with 1 win and the Challenge will be decided on percentage.

Tip off this week is at 6.30pm at the Moe Newborough Sports Stadium with the Pacers playing Bulleen Boomers at 8pm.
