Good Vibrations for youth

Wellington’s young people can enjoy a great night out at Vibrations, a new drug and alcohol free event in Sale, this month.

By Wellington Shire Council - 17th August 2005 - Back to News

The dance party aims to provide a safe night for young people, aged 17 years and under, in a fully supervised environment.

Wellington’s Mayor Peter Gault said: "Parents can be assured that qualified security will be present along with Council's own Youth Development Officer, Dave Roberts. There will no pass-outs and no entry after 9.30pm.

"The Council is mindful of providing interesting activities and entertaining events for our young people and this is a terrific opportunity for teenagers to enjoy themselves in a safe setting."

There will be some great prizes to be won on the night and any budding DJs can also register to have a 15 minute-set. The best DJ on the night will score a $50 gift voucher.

Vibrations is a new event in Sale, funded by Wellington Shire Council and Freeza.

It will be held at Dellbridge Hall on Friday, 26 August from 7.30pm-11.30pm. Admission is $5 and the first 30 people will get a free glow stick.
