Top guitarist to dazzle at Entertainment CentreAward-winning Australian musician Karin Schaupp is set to dazzle audiences at Wellington Shire Council’s Esso BHP Billiton Wellington Entertainment Centre on 22 August with her amazing acoustic guitar performance of classics from around the globe. By Wellington Shire Council - 10th August 2004 - Back to News Karin is amongst the latest signings to the ABC’s Classics catalogue and has been heralded as one of the most outstanding young guitarists in the world today. Her performance will take you on a journey through South American flavours and on to soothing Parisian sounds of Edith Piaf.
She has received notable acclaim this year as a member of the guitar quartet, Saffire. This quartet scooped an ARIA award for what has been the highest selling classical album of the year. Karin’s Sale show is part of the extensive set of tour dates promoting her most recent solo album, Dreams.
Her performance will commence at 5.00pm on Sunday 22 August. Tickets are $32 for adults and $28 for concessions. For bookings and more information please call the entertainment centre’s box office on 5143 3200.
