Creating an on-line business is a great idea in theory, but how do you promote it to existing and future customers who live life offline? As all successful e-businesses know, promotion has to continue once you're offline. Opening your e-business to a cross-section market will only serve to improve exposure and sales. Sometimes it is possible to have the best of both worlds.

Try the old methods of advertising to pave the way for the new. Things like repeated exposure to your URL through revenues such as television will get you noticed and help build on-line traffic. Even sponsoring the local football team could be the way to get your market hunting you down.

Remember that there are still many people who are scared of the internet, people who may be a big part of your target market. The only way to get these people is to entice their curiosity until they can no longer stand it, forcing them to reach for the keyboard...
