Construction on new croquet pavilion within Blue Gum Reserve in Cowes has started
Bass Coast Shire Council has begun construction on a new croquet pavilion within Blue Gum Reserve in Cowes.
This construction on the Blue Gum Reserve project will create a brand new croquet pavilion to accommodate the Phillip Island Croquet Club's increasing membership base. The new facility will include accessible amenities, a multi-purpose/social space, toilets and shower, storage and a kitchenette. This exciting project is expected to be completed by June 2022, subject to favourable weather and contractor and supplier availability.
This project represents an investment in sport and recreation facilities in Cowes and will create a brand new compliant croquet pavilion that accommodates the club's increasing members
Project funding
This $600,000 project has been funded by a $545,000 grant from Sport and Recreation Victoria, as well as $30,000 from Council and $25,000 from the Phillip Island Croquet Club. In addition, Council acknowledges the significant contribution from the Club towards the detailed design for the pavilion.
