One Dead Seagull

The book launch of the year - and you're invited!

By Emma Kae - 14th June 2001 - Back to News

Did you ever wonder what fire theatre and love have in common? No? Neither did I, but if you ever want to find out drop in on the the launch of Scot Gardner's debut novel for young adults One Dead Seagull. One Dead Seagull is a book about courage. About finding love in the strangest places. About mates and fear and being wild. It’s a book about real life.

The book was born when Scot was working on paving of Church St, Morwell. He wondered “what would happen if the brick saw bit me?” which inspired him to start writing. Since then, Scot hasn’t looked back. The book was picked up by Pan Macmillan and is set for release soon!

You are invited to become a part of history – be at the launch of One Dead Seagull! Not only will there be a brilliant book and an awesome author but Live music, special guests, drumming and fire theatre. Cool huh?

“When?” I hear you ask. 7:30pm Friday 20th July, 2001. “And where?” Natural Balance Natural Therapies, First floor, 91 George St, Morwell. Entry is free. So now you have no excuses.

Click here to visit Scot’s website for more details and an exclusive snippet form the book!
