Hair shaving and colouring was provided by GippsTAFE’s Hair and Beauty Department at the Yallourn Campus.

The event took place at lunchtime in the new refurbished courtyard, with all the students encouraged to sponsor their teachers to shave or colour their hair.

A special thanks goes to KFC in Morwell, Morwell McDonalds and Century Inn for providing prizes on the day.

The World’s Greatest Shave for a Cure is the Leukaemia Foundation’s biggest annual fundraising event, where participants shave or colour their hair to raise funds for Leukaemia research and patient support.

Leukaemia can strike anyone, at any age, at any time. In the next five years over 30,000 Australians will be diagnosed with Leukaemia or a related blood disorder.
