More than 500 new students will commence their university life on February 19.

Students will be welcomed with a breakfast on February 20 followed by a Welcome Ceremony, which the Latrobe City Mayor will attend. 3TR FM will be present during the breakfast, with live crosses between the station and the campus. The Welcome Ceremony is being held for the first time in the outdoor amphitheatre, giving students a true introduction to the Gippsland region and Campus.

50 of the new students commencing at Monash Gippsland are international students, who will participate in a wide variety of orientation activities specifically designed to welcome them to the region as well as the campus. Monash Gippsland’s International students have a reputation for being involved in the local community with students participating in cultural awareness programs in local schools and also in cultural festivals and celebrations run by Latrobe City throughout the year.
